There are different types of connecting a Konftel to a telephone line.

POTS	Analogue public telephone line, common in the home or PBX with an analogue card. Konftel 100, Konftel 200 and Konftel 200NI.
DECT/GAP	Wireless connection to a DECT system. After registering the Konftel 200W it gets an extension in your PBX. Konftel 50/60W connects via a cable to awireless DECT phone
ISDN/So	Digital public telephone line, commonly called ISDN Duo, or PBX with ISDN/So card. Konftel 200NI.
Digital line	Line specific for the actual PBX type/brand. This requires a special/specific brand of telephone for the respective PBX type. Konftel 50 and Konftel 60W.
VoIP	Voice communication with an Internet Protocol. Konftel 50/60W connects to IP phones or computers equipped with software for IP SoftPhone, regardless of protocol i.e. SIP, Skype, H.323.
Mobile GSM	Wireless connection to system or mobile phone or PC with Bluetooth - Konftel 60W. Connection with cable to system phone or PC. Also for connection to mobile phone and DECT phone. Konftel 50 and Konftel 60W.

Konftel 50

Can the Konftel 50, Konftel 60W or 100/D be connected to an analogue telephone?
The Konftel 50 and Konftel 100/D can be connected to virtually all system telephones.
If you have an analogue telephone, we recommend the Konftel 200 or Konftel 100, which can be connected to the same connection as your normal analogue telephone.

Can a Konftel 50, Konftel 60W or 100/D be plugged directly into the wall?

No, the Konftel are connected to the audio portion of your normal system telephone. Call as normal with your telephone and the Konftel 50 or 100/D works as a speaker unit.

Which telephones work with the Konftel 50, Konftel 60W or 100/D?

All phones that are connected to any of the following switchboards:

Konftel 60W

I'm having problem with pairing my Konftel 60W with my mobile phone. What can I do?
Make sure that Bluetooth is activated in your mobile phone, please refer to your mobile phone User Guide.
Make sure that the LEDs on the Konftel 60W is off.
Press the Trim-button for 3 seconds until the LEDs start flashing.
Search for Konftel 60W in the list of Bluetooth devices and enter the passkey "000".

The Konftel 60W does not appear in the display when I am trying to add a new device to the phone.
Follow the instruction above. If this does not help, hold the Trim button for 6 seconds until the LEDs start flashing. The Konftel 60W will then appear as a handsfree profile device.

My Sony Ericsson K700 are having problem connecting the Konftel 60W
Answer or make a call. Transfer the call to Konftel 60W by pressing the Menu button on the mobile phone. Enter "Transferring a call" and "Konftel 60W".

Can the Konftel 60W be connected to an analogue telephone?

I have connected my Konftel 200NI to our switchboard with an ISDN connection, but I get no connection. What is the problem?
The Konftel 200NI requires ISDN/So (ISDN S zero) in the telephone jack. Also check that the telephone is set to ISDN or Auto mode. Read more >>>

Can you hook up a Konftel telephone directly to the telephone jack?

If it is a Konftel 100, 200, or a Konftel 200NI you can connect it directly to the telephone wall jack, assuming that there is a normal analogue telephone line in place. Check to ensure that the Konftel 200NI is set to POTS mode. The Kontel 200NI can also be connected to an ISDN/So line

How do I connect a Konftel 200W ?
Konftel 200W is the worlds only DECT Conference phone that can interwork with existing
DECT/GAP office telecommunication infrastructures from the worlds leading telecommunication manufacturers. ie. Alcatel, Ascom, Ericsson, Philips, Nortel Networks just to mention some. Pdf of overview

Can I use Konftel 200W if I don´t have an existing DECT/GAP infrastructure?
Yes, Konftel has a optional DECT base station that can be wallmounted. The Konftel DECT basestation is connected directly to a analog telephone line/extension. With one base the DECT coverage is limited to up to 50 meters between the base and the 200W. Konftel 200W can be registered to 4 different base systems or Konftel DECT base stations. In this way the coverage can be complete.

Why is Konftel 200W not battery operated?
Konftel has chosen not to have the 200W battery operated for the reason that a Conference phone very often is a shared device (compare with Mobile phones which is personal devices). It is critical that a Conference phone work whenever needed by anyone in a team of people. Konftel 200W has a small power supply of plug-in type and a 7 meter long cable which enables the user simply to connect to a power outlet in any room and start a Conference call.

What is so special with Konftel 200W?
The 200W interworking with existing DECT/GAP infrastructures. This gives the user a possibility to use a Conference Phone in any room as long as there is a power outlet and DECT coverage.

Is Konftel 200W a product for the home office?
Yes, Konftel 200W can be easily registered onto your residential DECT phone (ie. Siemens Gigaset). Thus givin you the possibility to alternate between your DECT handset and DECT Conference phone using the same incoming telephone line.

Konftel 200W connect to DECT systems. What is DECT/GAP?
DECT/GAP is a standard for wireless telecommunication which transmit excellent voice. The DECT operates on the 1880-1900 MHz frequency band (Europe) which is dedicated for DECT applications. DECT is a mature and proven technology especially developed for voice communication. According to the DECT organisation DECT Forum 2,5 million DECT phones was sold in 2004 in over 110 countries worldwide for use with DECT systems in offices and industry.

What about access security when the Konftel 200W is wirelessly connected?
DECT has a built-in 128-bit authentication and identification. Konftel 200W has to be registered with an AC code (PIN) in the DECT system before starting using it.

What about transmission security? Can anyone bugg my calls in the Konftel 200W?
Konftel 200W has a built-in encryption based on derived or static 64 bits cipher keys.

Will the Konftel 200W interfere with with W-LAN/802.11 wireless data networks?
W-LAN (802.11) operates on the 2,4GHz band. DECT operates on the 1880-1900 MHz frequency band (Europe). Therefore there should not be any interference between DECT and W-LAN.
